The Mampong Akwapim Traditional Council has expressed gratitude to the President, Nana Addo Dankwan Akufo-Addo for appointing Sammi Awuku as the next CEO of National Lottery Authority (NLA).

The Council also applauded Sammi Awuku for the appointment and noted that, he indeed deserves it.

In a press interview with the media, the Apesemakahene of Mampong Akwiapim, Nana Yirenkyi l who is responsible fir the council’s communication pleaded with Ghanaians to support Sammi Awuku to succeed.

According to them, they believe Sammi Awuku can develop and grow the industry but that will be achieved when he is given the support needed.

According to Nana Yirenkyi, Sammi Awuku has worked very hard to make sure NPP retain power and he distinguished himself as the Board chairman for the Youth Employment Authority and he believes that he (Sammi) has a lot to offer to Ghanaians.

“We all want the best for Ghana. So whoever is given the appointment based on good judgement from the President, must be supported. We know our son and we know he will deliver and make us proud,” he said.
