Agenda 111: NPP Full of Deceit; They're Only Good At Branding - Solomon Nkansah

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been accused of being all rhetoric and no substance on developmental issues.

A former National Communication Officer of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah, considers the NPP as being only good at branding and packaging in the political market to hoodwink "more customers into patronizing their products".

He has thus counseled his party communicators to subject the ‘Agenda 111' Hospital Project introduced by the NPP to greater scrutiny and not just say "they cannot do it".

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Solomon Nkansah held strongly that the ‘Agenda 111' Hospital Project is clearly a deceitful intention to win the hearts of Ghanaians.

“The NPP is full of deceit which is why the NDC must know how we will move with the NPP and wrestle power from them. I have always said that NDC and NPP are both selling in the political market. Whoever packages their products well enough attract a lot of customers to patronize their products. So if you look at the NPP, they are the best when it comes to branding and discrimination. Right now, they have come up with 'Agenda 111' and it is so easy for the ordinary Ghanaian to associate themselves with it,” he admonished.

He feared that, "if we [NDC] are not mindful of our utterances about the Agenda 111 Hospital Project and the NPP completes even 20 out of the ‘Agenda 111' Hospital Project, there will be a problem”.

He rather advised the NDC communicators to explain to Ghanaians that the Akufo-Addo government should have used the funds meant for the ‘Agenda 111' Project to complete existing hospital projects which were started by the previous Mahama administration.

However, he was emphatic that NPP has never introduced any social intervention in the country but rather changed the names of existing social interventions introduced by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

They only come to rename existing social intervention programmes introduced by the NDC. The level of social intervention initiatives the NDC introduced in the country is unparalleled, but unfortunately, we don’t make noise about them,” he asserted.
