NPP Nat. Treasurer To Contest Party’s Chairman Position

The National Treasurer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, (NPP), Mr. Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah, is lacing his boot to contest the National Chairman position of the party.

He declared his intention at the NPP Klottey Korley’s Constituency Delegate Conferences on Friday 27th August 202.

By the Grace of God if nomination is open I will move forward and contest the National Chairmanship position.”

According to him, his main priority is to see the party bond in unity towards all contestants as well as members of the party because "we can only break the 8 if we are united.”

Mr Abankwa who has repeatedly advocated unity in the party indicated that he is not going to wage any divisive and dirty campaign but bring his ideas to help the party to break the 8 stressing “after elections, there is a party to work for, therefore, we need to come together as one solid family to secure a resounding victory in 2024.

I am going to lead the party with truth and integrity and call for constituency executive to throw their weight behind him. I will be there for all NPP members especially the grass roots because I am not divisive.

As a two-term Parliamentary candidate and over 17 years as delegate at Klottey Korley constituency, he advised the delegates to avoid apathy and rally behind the party “for there is time for everyone to have his share from the party”.

He re-introduced an attendance book for party members which would be in the care of all-party polling station coordinators and said the book would serve as a form of membership mobilization and a tool for preventing controversies at polling stations.

Mr. Abankwah was optimistic that the book would be a key determinant of the NPP’s win.
