Covid-19 has claimed the lives of 72 Ethiopians in the last two days, the health ministry has said.
It is the highest number of deaths recorded in the country since last week when the ministry officially confirmed the presence of the highly transmissible Delta variant.
Health officials say the number of positive cases has increased, hospitalization numbers have gone up with "ICU facilities getting full."
