The police have picked up five armed robbers in Afiadenyigba in the Volta Region, a social media update from the Service on Sunday said.

The police said the arrest was done in a joint operation with the “people of the town”.

The armed robbers allegedly “attacked a shop and shot into a vehicle. No casualty was recorded,” the brief statement posted on the Ghana Police Service’s Facebook page said.

“Police-community partnership is the master key to crime fighting,” it added.
