Nana Obiri Yeboah, the founder of the Nana Obiri-Yeboah Institute (NOYA) donated 1000 books and other learning materials to some communities within the Asante Akim North Municipal to support teaching and learning activities in suburban schools.

Mr. Obiri -Yeboah; a youth activist and an alumnus of the University for Development studies made the donations through his institute on his birthday to encourage students to remain committed to their education, and assured them of the continuous support of his Institute towards their educational activities and youth empowerment.

He added that his experiences as a student leader and a youth advocate exposed him to the importance of education in stimulating upward mobility. Speaking on the role of citizens in education; he emphasised the need for more people to support areas of education that were not covered by the Government and called on natives of Asante Akim to support existing initiatives to ensure that the nation reaps the full benefits of its educational investments.

He concluded his engagement with the students by inviting them to be involved in community services, volunteerism and internships as a way of giving back to society, adding that Asante Akyem Youth Union Movement(AYUM) is available to support and guide them in their educational path since it's partnered the BBP of NOYA Institute.

AYUM was founded in 2019 through the leadership of Nana Obiri-Yeboah to help advance youth engagement and education among the people of Asante Akim. The organisation boasts of members from across the various Asante Akim districts and has successfully mobilised young people to advocate for peaceful elections and inclusive governance. The association prides itself on being nonpartisan yet socially inclusive.
