Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Mame Yaa Aboagye, has expressed concerns over the country’s dependence on food importation.
 
According to her, importation is killing local business and the economy.

She appealed to the government and stakeholders to deem it important to curb the imports.

She raised this concern on her social media platform, saying, “development in Freedom. It’s about time we see the change we voted for. We need to patronize our own products”.

She stressed; “Importation is killing local business and the economy too. Huge sums of Monies transferred outside the country on a daily basis need to end.”
