My Biggest Regret Is Police Arresting Me For Operating An Orphanage - Maame Dokono

Veteran actress, Grace Omaboe, known in showbiz as Maame Dokono, says her biggest regret in life is when Police arrested her for operating an orphanage.

Narrating her ordeal on UTV's 'United Showbiz' hosted by Nana Ama Mcbrown, the seasoned actress said she had opened an orphanage to cater for children with no parents, recruited staff and paying them to effectively run the orphanage but suffered a big blow when the Police turned on her to shut her orphanage down.

She stated she was abroad when she heard the news that the security personnel had stormed her orphanage over some ridiculous allegations against her.

This caused her to make an abrupt return to Ghana to settle the issue but was sent to WAJU, now DOVVSU, for interrogations.

According to her, she was later intimidated by about 10 armed Police officers who were ordered to arrest her but ace investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas stepped in with his timely intervention in discovering the truth which ended Maame Dokono's worst nightmare.

"That is what whenever I think about it, I ask myself if opening the orphanage was good or not. A person like me doing good, giving out money to help people, if you can't applaud me, WAJU, the Police couldn't do it; then you're coming to arrest me. Since then, I said I don't think I will do the orphanage again," she said.
