Over 100 Hospitals Benefitting From Our Free Oxygen Initiative – B5 Plus CEO Reveals

Mukesh Thakwani, the Chief Executive Officer of the largest steel manufacturing company, B5 Plus Limited has said their free oxygen initiative has been of great help to over a hundred government and private hospitals in Ghana.

The Tema-based company has given huge relief to the fight against the devastating coronavirus pandemic by offering free oxygen refilling to all hospitals nationwide, an initiative that commenced in March 2020.

The company assured that the free oxygen supply will continue till the day COVID-19 is defeated in the country.

And according to Mr. Thakwani, since the inception of the initiative, over hundred hospitals have been benefitting, strengthening the fight against the coronavirus disease.

He said over a thousand cylinders from the various hospitals have been refilled since the commencement of the free oxygen delivery last year.

Mr. Thakwani said the package forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) geared towards supporting the needy by investing much of the CSR towards this free Oxygen refilling initiative considering how crucial the fight of the COVID-19 virus has become recently.

Mr. Mukesh Thakwani urged Government to step up its efforts towards combating the COVID-19-19 virus by enforcing all safety protocols outlined in a bid to ensure economic activities are done in a safe manner.

The astute businessman seized the opportunity to express his gratitude to the various staff of the company for their diligent efforts in ensuring the company achieved great success in the year 2021 despite the hardship brought by the pandemic.
