The largest opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) has sworn to resist any attempt to pass the controversial E-levy bill into law.

The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otokunor says they are willing to go all out to ensure that "Ghanaians are not inflicted with any more hardship".

The NDC has heavily resisted the E-Levy since it was introduced in Parliament.

The youth wing subsequently embarked on a demonstration against the levy. 

It may be recalled that the last time the bill was being debated on it ended up in a brawl.

Peter Otokunor in a one-on-one interview on 'The Platform' programme on Peace FM swore that, "if they (majority) use other means which is not in the standing orders to pass it . . . we won't allow it".

" . . that e-levy cannot be passed ever . . . they should try any dubious means and remove some of our MPs, what happened in December, a bigger one will happen . . . if they find a dubious way of trying to pass it, without passing through the standing orders or laid down laws, we are not going to allow that person. If we have to slap we'll, even punches we'll throw . . ." he told Nana Yaw Kesseh, adding that their MPs will use all possible legal means to stop the e-levy bill from being passed.
