Owusu Abeyie Frustrated

Ghanaian international, Quincy Owusu Abeyie is hoping to enjoy permanent call ups in the Black Stars soon. The 25year old winger, who plays for Al sad in Qatar, has not been a regular player at the international level after the 2008 African Cup of Nations hosted by Ghana. Abeyie, who quit Spanish side Malaga under controversial circumstances via the social networking site Twitter on May 20 2011, has not played for the Black Stars since the international friendly against Saudi Arabia in November 2010. The former Arsenal player switched nationality to play for Ghana prior to the 2008 Nations Cup after starring for Netherlands at youth levels. Quincy Owusu Abeyie told Citi FMs Russel Wiafe in an exclusive interview that his main aim is to catch the eye of Goran Stevanovic for a recall that will make him a regular player in the Black Stars set up. Yes of course I want to be in the Black Stars again and sometimes it gets to me when I watch my colleagues play without me, Abeyie said. It is very frustrating because when I made the decision to play for Ghana. It was big one for me and so for you to see the turn of event, clearly the situation is not the best.I had a choice and I chose my motherland and it will be refreshing to be back in the team in the not too distant future. The former Ajax promising starlet has played for Sparta Moscow, Cardiff, Portsmouth and Al Sadd.
