Peoples Mother Honoured At Valley View University College

On 10th December, 2021, Peoples Mother was honoured at Valley View University College.

She was invited as a guest speaker to engage the students on the future of 21st century Women's Development in society and the part they have to play as young females to catalyze the process.

It was under the auspices of the Women's commission of the schools Students Representative Council.

She began by sharing her experience during university days at KNUST as the SRC/NUGS women's commissioner; and then zoomed into what the Sustainable development goals seek to achieve which is primarily centered on achieving equality at all levels.

She threw more light on the SDG goal 5 which is centered on equal opportunities for women and as tertiary female students and encouraged the student to be bold and prepare for improvement in all areas of women active participation we seek to achieve.

She further challenged the student  to be engrossed in ICT literacy, which is a non-negotiable tool for young women seeking to achieve development in this 21st century.

“We then zoomed into questions and answers which generated further conversations and opinions. I concluded that as young women, we should first of all see ourselves as human beings which is basic and with that in mind, because every human being has the potential to peruse a goal, we can therefore aspire for goals and achieve them just like any other gender. I then joined my beautiful co-speaker, Miss Dornukie N. as well as a the Dean of the University and other officials of the school present to inaugurate the women's commission of the Students Representative Council,” she stressed.
