The Metaverse Is Here: Arman Arzumanyan Shares What That Means

The word metaverse is now a buzzword most people are scrambling to understand, but so far, only a few do. According to Arman Arzumanyan, the complicated world of cryptocurrencies, NFTs, blockchain, and the metaverse is still relatively new, which means most people don’t fully comprehend it. Arman Arzumanyan is heavily invested in the crypto and NFT world and understands what it is all about.

The general description of the metaverse is a network of 3D virtual worlds geared towards social connection. The metaverse is the next step in the internet's virtual and augmented reality iteration. Since Facebook’s rebrand, the world has become a discussion topic worldwide, but people still have minimal information on the metaverse.

On the one hand, people believe it is the future of technology, while on the other, people opine that it already exists. The next evolution of the internet has been dubbed Web3.0 and will seek to explore the virtual world extensively, a concept that blurs virtual and reality.

Arman explains that the term metaverse was coined back in 1992 in Neal Stephenson’s dystopian novel Snow Crash. The virtual reality space is described as a matrix and can be accessed through personal terminals and virtual reality goggles. In the present world, access to the metaverse is possible through VR headsets.

In multiplayer online games, the metaverse concepts exist only up to a certain point, meaning the players live in isolation and can never leave. However, the metaverse that is now taking shape envisions a space where the next version of the internet and its usage comes into focus.

Put simply, the metaverse is the next immersive platform that seeks to replace what is now available. Arman explains that the metaverse is a version of the internet where you will be in the experience rather than looking at it from the outside.
