2022 World Cup Playoff: Asamoah Gyan Apologizes For Ashimeru Tweet
Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has apologised for going ballistic over Majeed Ashimeru's omission from the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff tie against Nigeria.
Gyan reacted angrily after learning that the Black Stars technical team headed by his former Black Stars teammate, Otto Addo had not invited Ashimeru for the crucial games despite the midfielder impressing in Belgium.
“This guy Majeed Ashimeru is the best midfielder in Ghana, after Thomas Partey, period. I have kept quiet on this but this nonsense must stop. Smh,” Gyan tweeted.
