Black Stars Gifts Akufo-Addo Best Birthday Present Ever

The mighty Black Stars of Ghana has set a distinguishable record as the first national team in Africa to qualify for the Qatar World Cup 2022.

The Black Stars met with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a fervid second leg match after the two teams drew in a clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

It was a goalless draw between the two teams, however the Black Stars proved their weight in the second leg held in Abuja, Nigeria on Tuesday, March 29.

The first half of the match saw the Black Stars player, Thomas Partey striking a neat shot through the arms of the Nigerian goalkeeper to register Ghana on the scoreboard but it wasn't long after the goal that the Super Eagles equalized following a controversial penalty kick.

Nonetheless, the Black Stars controlled the game till the 90 minutes was over and held the game in a 1-1 draw till end.

By an away goal win, Ghana clinched victory over Nigeria and the players will return home with a solid record of being the first team in Africa to qualify for the World Cup.

Although this is a big win for Ghana, the First Gentleman of the country, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should be the happiest of all the fans.

The President celebrated his birthday today, Tuesday, March 29, and there could not be any better birthday present than Ghana qualifying for her fourth World Cup.

Indeed, there has been a myriad of messages to the President who marks his 78th birthday but the greatest of all the gifts is the Black Stars' overwhelming victory over the Super Eagles.
