Kevin Prince Boateng Poised To Make Ghana Home Debut

Black Stars fans look set to get their first close-up glimpse of Kevin-Prince Boateng tomorrow as Ghana play Congo in a Nations Cup qualifier in Kumasi. Kevin, who has never played at at home before, is part of Goran Stevanovic�s squad for Friday�s Group I qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium. Since making his debut on June 5, 2010 in a friendly against Latvia and going on to play in five matches at last year�s World Cup, the AC Milan midfielder is however, yet to play a competitive game for Ghana on home soil. While it will also be his first game in for Ghana on home soil, the player whose birthday coincides with Ghana�s independence day, says he is enjoying the reception from the fans. �I know it [game against Congo] would be my first game but I�m enjoying every minute of my time here [Kumasi]. I would be happy to play my first game in Ghana. �The reception from the fans in Accra was good and Kumasi is also the same. I feel great being here,� Kevin said to the media on the sidelines after training on Wednesday. Kevin has featured in six games for the senior team, scoring once against the United States in 2-1 win for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup.
