Queenmother Of Abola Akwa Tse We Donates Books, Other Items To Schools In Jamestown

The Queen Mother of Abola Akwa Ts3 We, Manye Naa Abeka Sikafo Otse Ogbeeshie I, has donated some branded exercise books, sanitizers, toiletries, bottled water and other educational materials to students of the Sempe School and Happy Days Academy at Jamestown in the Greater Accra Region.

According to her, the gesture is to mark the celebration of her birthday; a way of supporting schools in the community to enhance learning.

Speaking at a brief ceremony, Manye Naa Abeka said her objective is to improve education in the area and impact the children in a more meaningful way.

“I am very grateful to the Almighty God for adding another year to my age. It will be my greatest pleasure to bring out responsible children who will excel in their academics in the community. As a Queen Mother, I will do my possible best to make sure all these important dreams happen”, she said.

Manye Naa Abeka also took the opportunity to urge parents to also support the teachers to offer their best in training the children.

She advised parents to frequently visit the schools of their children to check on their performances and attitudes since some children put up some behaviours that are not known by their parents at home.

The Headmistress of Sempe School, Augustina Jamrah, who received the items, thanked the Queen Mother for her support to the school in recent times.

She called on all well-meaning citizens, philanthropists and other benevolent groups to emulate the gesture by the Queen Mother.
