Sunderland Boss Steve Bruce Eyes Gyan's Partner

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is eyeing a move for Lisandro Lpez to link up with current C. Gyan only joined last summer and is considered to have settled well in his first year, scoring 10 league goals in 31 appearances for the Black Cats. However since the sale of Darren Bent to Aston Villa, Bruce requires at least one more top goal scorer and Lisandro seems to be the top target despite reports of interest in West Ham forward Carlton Cole. Lisandro currently plays for French Ligue 1 side Lyon and has scored a remarkable 31 goals in close to 60 appearances however the French side recently finished third in their respective league meaning they will have to qualify for the Champions League next season. It will take some persuasion to take Lisandro to the Stadium of Light with the club not partaking in any European competition however the possibility to join a team in the Premiership may be something that takes the Argentines fancy. It is believed the former Porto striker could be available for around 18m from the French side.
