VIDEO: Gabrielle Union and Husband, Dwayne Wade Get Ghanaian Names
American Actress, Gabrielle Union and her former NBA player husband, Dwyane Wade arrived in Accra, Ghana on Monday, October 31, 2022.
The Hollywood power couple did not come alone, they came with their most beloved and popular daughter, Kaavia James. The Hollywood power couple are in Ghana to take on their African tour and the celebration of Gabrielle’s 50th birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Wade had a fantastic celebration in Zanzibar, Tanzania, before making their way to Accra, Ghana. For their first stop in Ghana, was in the Eastern region of Ghana.
Gabrielle and Dwayne, alongside their daughter, Kaavia, witnessed the colorful enstoolment ceremony of Diallo Sumbry, President & CEO The Adinkra Group as Nkosuohene (Chief of Development) in Nyame Bekyere, a community between Adawso and Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
At the ceremony, the two lovebirds were welcomed with local Ghanaian names by the newly enstooled Nkosuohene of Adawaso, Diallo Sumbry.
Gabrielle is now known as Akosua Safo and her husband, Dwayne is now Kwesi Safo.
The newly enstooled Nkosuohene of Nyame Bekyere Diallo "Daheart" Sumbry is the first African American Tourism Ambassador of Ghana and has committed to the development of the community for many years.
