GES Boss Brouhaha: Gov't Must Be Blamed for Strike Action - Dr Clement Apaak

The Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee of Parliament, Dr Clement Apaak says the government is to be blamed for the three Teacher Unions ongoing strike.
 
According to him, if the government had managed the situation well, "we will not be where we are today”.
 
Three Teacher Unions have declared an industrial action over the failure of the government to revoke the appointment of Dr Eric Nkansah as acting Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES).
 
The Unions made up of the Ghana National Association of Teachers, the National Association of Graduate Teachers and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana said Dr Eric Nkansah is a banker with no teaching background, the reason for their rejection.

They announced the strike action at a press conference on Friday, November 4, 2022.
