Economic Crises: 'This Shall Pass' - Kwamena Duncan Assures

The former Minister for Central Region, Kwamena Duncan has reassured Ghanaians of a better Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He was optimistic the Akufo-Addo government will fix the ailing economy.

Contributing to Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show Wednesday morning, Kwamena Duncan noted that the political opponents of the government, specifically the National Democratic Congress (NDC), earnestly pray the President doesn't succeed in restoring the economy.

He quoted the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu of stating in their caucus meeting that they sabotaged the E-Levy by the Akufo-Addo administration because they know implementing it will ruin their chance to return to power.

He stated that the detractors wish for Ghana's economy to become like Sri Lanka's, an economy he said completely collapsed, but asked Ghanaians to remain resolute in President Nana Akufo-Addo who he strongly believes will revive the economy.

"They pray that Ghana will become like Sri Lanka but I say it here, on this largest platform anybody can imagine...that this shall pass!...They could continue to wish a Sri Lanka situation on us but it will not happen," he stated.
