Mr. President, If Ken Ofori-Atta Passes Away Today, Won't You Find His Replacement? - 'Angry' Kabila Queries

James Kwabena Bomfeh is utterly unhappy with President Nana Akufo-Addo's refusal to remove Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta despite public outcry.

The Members of Parliament of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have resolved that Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta should be sacked from office.

The President has asked the agitated MPs to wait for the Minister to conclude Ghana's deal with the International Monetary Fund before the nation will know his decision on their request, but the Minority in Parliament have filed a vote of censure to expedite the dismissal of the Minister.

On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, there was an ad-hoc Committee hearing to probe the censure motion with the Minority giving reasons for the Minister's removal.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" panel discussion programme, James Kwabena Bomfeh, also called 'Kabila', couldn't fathom why the President is finding difficulties with removing the Minister.

"I want to ask you Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, do you think if you don't exist today, Ghana will get a Minister to replace you? Mr. President, should Minister Ken Ofori-Atta pass away today, won't you find someone to appoint as your Minister?", he asked.

"We cannot reduce this country and our forward match to issues involving the Finance Minister and bogus claims by the Minority," he exclaimed.
