'Cough (Odo)' Is Appreciation To Ghanaians For Supporting 'Buga' - Kizz Daniel Reveals

Popular Nigerian artiste, Kizz Daniel has disclosed that the catchphrase, Odo Yewu in his latest hit single, Cough released last month is an appreciation to Ghanaians for massively supporting the success of his other hit song, Buga.

Speaking in an interview with Joy FM’s Lexiz Bill on the Drivetime Show recently, the artiste who is billed to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar this weekend said he took the decision because he was overwhelmed by Ghana’s support.

He explained that when Buga was released, it stayed at the top of the charts for the longest time in Ghana as compared to other African countries.

“Buga stayed at number 1 in Ghana the longest, out of all the African countries. So I was like ‘big love to Ghana,” Kizz Daniel said.

The Buga song, which currently has over 91 million views on YouTube, over a 100 million streams on Boomplay, enjoyed massive airplay in Ghana and was streamed by millions of Ghanaians.

The newly released Cough is equally doing very well on music streaming platforms and a trending on TikTok.

And speaking on the progress of his career, Kizz Daniel, real name Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe said he was grateful for the successes but wanted to achieve more.

“I’m grateful for where I am now but I want to be more, I mean the next level. This is very possible because of my fans worldwide,” he said.
