Home Builders Africa Awards Honours Kokrokoo Charities - VIDEO

On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Kokrokoo Charities Foundation received an award from Home Builders Africa Awards, one of the most renowned research, marketing, and advocacy organizations in the world.

Kokrokoo Charities - a social intervention initiative set up by Ghanaian broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi received the honours for its efforts to improve clinical treatment and reduce premature birth in the nation; and also for contributing to the survival of premature infants in Ghana.

Preterm birth is highly prevalent in Ghana with a national rate of approximately 14.5% of all live births, and Kokrokoo Charities has projected to donate 100 incubators to various hospitals nationwide to promote infant healthcare.

An award plaque was given to Kokrokoo Charities as a token of appreciation for its strategy of improving preterm survival rates through the distribution of incubators.

The ambassador of Peru to Ghana, Abel Antonio Cardenas Tuppia, Nana Opare Kwafo I, Aburi Atwiasin Kyedomhene, Dr. Chris Agyemang, and Mrs. Jane Reason Akushika Ahadzi, CEO of Stopover JRA Enterprise, were among dignitaries who graced the awards night.

At least, a total of 47 industries, organizations and individuals received other awards at the colourful event.

The event was jointly organized by Build Forward Africa and AfCFTA's Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF).
