Hands of Gold Foundation (HOGF) has officially opened its country office in Ghana to complement the government’s efforts to supporting the needs of the vulnerable, needy, less fortunate and marginalized persons in the society.

The HOGF, an international non-governmental organization (NGO), helps persons facing financial difficulties by tiding them over a difficult period and help them regain their financial independence. 

Speaking at the opening ceremony at Olebu-Ablekuma in Accra, the Deputy Chief Executive of the Foundation, Mr. Benjamin Opuni said the Foundation was set up with the sole aim of supporting individuals, especially women and children, to become useful to the society.

“As our aim, the Foundation targets individual, especially women and children, to support them to age well, be financially stable through entrepreneurial development and incubate business initiative and innovations for their livelihood support,” he emphasized.

According to him, the Foundation believes in long-lasting relationships and partnerships and as such was open to partnering with other NGOs to ensure all generations of our society are involved in the fulfilment of the Foundation’s mission and vision.

It is worth noting that the Foundation has since its beginning financially supported for medical operation of Fibroid and Hernia to be performed on some selected beneficiaries.

“On November 17th, 2021, the Foundation undertook full medical and health screening for the entire community of Fankyinikor, a Suburb of Nsawam.

“We have also issued financial tokens to some selected beneficiaries as startup business capital and for which these persons are financially performing creditably. Additionally, we have ensured the payment of the full medical cost and surgical operations for some beneficiaries at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital”, he added.

He further hinted that the foundation also catered for the Academic User Facility Fees (School Fees) for two (2) nursing trainees. 

“Albeit all these strides made by the Foundation, we strive for greater heights, there are more of these to happen and we are hopeful that the people of Olebu-Ablekuma will not be left out at all,” he stressed.

The Chief of the area, Nii Adotey Amarteifio (I) on his part, commended HOGF for their initiatives and interventions over the years and implored them to extend their services to inhabitants of Olebu-Ablekuma.

HOGF is a secular, independent non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Ghana and established in September 2020 in Accra, Greater Accra Region.
