Minority Parl. Reshuffle: I’ve Had a ‘Fruitful’ And ‘Positive’ Conversation With Haruna Iddrisu- Ato Forson

Newly appointed Minority Leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has suggested in a Facebook post that there are ‘cracks’ within the minority caucus in parliament after a sudden reshuffle by his party’s national executives.

According to him he has had a conversation with the immediate past leader, Haruna Iddrisu to commend his sterling leadership over the years.

“I have held fruitful and positive conversations with my senior brother Hon. Haruna Iddrisu. I commend him for his admirable stewardship when he was granted the opportunity by our party's leadership,” he said.

Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, however, expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the NDC for appointing him to lead the minority caucus in parliament.

The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam MP said he’s humbled by his elevation in the House.

"I am honoured and humbled to have been chosen to lead our illustrious and gallant caucus in Parliament. I thank the leadership of our party who have placed their trust and confidence in me. I am also deeply grateful to colleagues, the rank and file of our party, and the Ghanaian people for their profound support and solidarity," he said in a Facebook post.

He is very optimistic collectively the NDC will achieve with the support of all party members.

“I have no doubt that with your support we shall succeed,” he pledged to serve with "unwavering dedication and high integrity."
