'Let's Make Accra Work Again Hasn't Gone The Way I Wanted It To Go' - Henry Quartey Shares His Disappointment

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey has expressed disappointment in the delay in making Accra work again.

The Minister, who introduced the "Let's Make Accra Work Again" project to keep the capital city clean and the residents disciplined, says it is becoming a great challenge for him to achieve the goal of the project.

Speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, the Minister showed his unhappiness with the rate at which project is moving.

"From where I sit, it hasn't gone the way I wanted it to go. We started well by the grace of God. The media, corporate bodies and entire Ghana, everybody jumped on board...I'm not the type who runs away from the truth; generally, I want to say it hasn't gotten to the stage that I thought it should by this time. So, clearly, there is more room for improvement", he stated.

He however assured the residents in the Region that there is going to be a rise in ensuring that Accra works again.

"I think we have to get to this stage where the average Ghanaian will he, himself, understand that it is a civic responsibility that he should help the system for the system to help him to work", he charged the residents.
