Court Remands Man for Inflicting Cutlass Wounds on Lover and Killing Informant at Sefwi Juaboso

The Sefwi Wiawso Magistrate Court presided over by His Worship Eric Baah has remanded suspect, Kwame Adama popularly known as Bawumia, who allegedly inflicted severe cutlass wounds on his girlfriend and continued to kill an informant, Yakubu Abdallah, his neighbour who threatened to expose his cover at Sefwi Gyapongkrom in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.

The suspect is to reappear before the court on March 13, 2023.

Prosecutor, Detective Chief Inspector George Asante Norya told the honourable court that the suspect in September 2022, inflicted severe cutlass wounds on his girlfriend after she demanded money from him to go to the market on Thursday.

Upon a little misunderstanding between the lovers, Bawumia pulled a sharpen cutlass and inflicted multiple wounds on his girlfriend.

After he had committed the crime, took to his heels thinking his girl friend is dead.

One Yakubu Abdallah, a resident who threatened to blow the cover of the suspect was also killed by the same person.

According to the report, the suspect laid ambushed and slashed the face of Yakubu when he was returning from the market one Thursday leading to the death of Yakubu Abdallah.

The suspect was charged with two counts; murder and assault.

However, the court, has remanded Kwame Adama (Bawumia) to re-appear before the court on 13th March 2023.
