Peacefmonline.com can confirm that the Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayibonte II, in the early hours of Monday barged into the offices of the Ga Traditional Council and the Ga Mantse Palace, seizing the two main powerhouses of the Ga Kingdom. He was accompanied by the Asene Gyesehene, Nii Amarkai III, one of the principal Ga kingmakers together with the newly-enstooled Ga Mantse, George Tackie whose stool name is Nii Tackie Adama Latse II. The palace is located at James Town and the Traditional Council at North Kaneshie. The Gbese Mantse affirmed the news to PeaceFM. The Gbese Mantse, who kept to his threats to enstool a new Ga Manste before the year ends, alleging, Nii Tackie Tawiah II was enstooled by the previous Kufuor administration, said he ambled into the palace without any form of resistance from any quarters.
