Novak Djokovic Withdraws from National Bank Open in Toronto

Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from next month's National Bank Open in Toronto due to fatigue, Tennis Canada has announced.

The 36-year-old Serbian missed out on a record-extending 24th Grand Slam singles title last week after defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in the men's Wimbledon singles final.

Djokovic said: 'I have always enjoyed my time in Canada but after speaking with my team, we believe this is the right decision to take.

'I would like to thank Karl Hale, the tournament director, for understanding this decision.
