The Second Lady of Ghana, Mrs Sami­ra Bawumia, has called for in­creased youth participation in the fight against Climate Change

Speaking at the Africa Women and Children Confer­ence (AFRIWOCC) pre-COP28 Climate conference at the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement in Legon, she explained that the move would step up efforts aimed at combating climate change and mitigating its impacts, particularly on Youth. According to Mrs Samira Bawumia, she want seek to document youth perspective, ideas and innovative solution to climate change ahead of the united nation COP28 in Dubai-UAE.

Under the theme of "Youth in Climate Action," the conference unfolded in two dynamic sections. Beyond discussions, an exhibition showcased eco-friendly products designed to promote sustainable living. From natural fertilizers for farms to eco-friendly fuel alternatives, the conference actively encouraged practices that reduce reliance on LPG gas and firewood. H.E Mrs Samira Bawumia talks about The International Youth Climate Delegate Program (International YCDP), which will off on November 30th to December 12th 2023 at Dubai.

Notable figures such as, Executive Secretary at the Energy Commission, United Arab Emirates Ambassador designate to Ghana Khalifa Yousif Alzaabi and other Participants at the conference discussed the importance of presenting a unified African message on climate action, particularly concerning its effects on youth.
