NPP Bekwai Executives Officially Present 2024 Parliamentary Candidate To Nananom

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives in Bekwai constituency have initiated the formal introduction of their 2024 parliamentary candidate, Ralph Poku-Adusei, to the revered chiefs and elders across the Bekwai municipality.

Following a successful electoral victory, Ralph Poku-Adusei, a young Ghanaian lawyer and native of Bekwai, emerged as the chosen parliamentary candidate for the December 2024 general election.

In the primaries held on January 27, 2024, Poku-Adusei secured a resounding victory, garnering 662 votes out of 938, representing 70% of the valid votes cast.

His closest rival, Commissioner of Police (rtd) George Alex Mensah, obtained 245 votes, while the other candidates trailed behind.

In a gesture of respect towards the traditional authorities of Amansie, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Bekwai, Kwaku Kyei Baffour, accompanied by constituency executives, electoral area coordinators, polling station executives, and former constituency executives, embarked on a series of visits to introduce Ralph Poku-Adusei to the chiefs and elders.

Addressing the media, MCE Kwaku Kyei Baffour emphasized Poku-Adusei's deep commitment to the welfare and development of Bekwai municipality, underscoring the importance of seeking the blessings of the local leaders ahead of the upcoming elections.

Expressing his gratitude, Ralph Poku-Adusei acknowledged the honor bestowed upon him by the NPP as their parliamentary candidate for Bekwai constituency in 2024. He affirmed his dedication to serving the community with utmost diligence and pledged to uphold its interests.

Recognizing the significance of the traditional leaders, Poku-Adusei and his team embarked on a tour to introduce themselves and seek their endorsement.

The reception from the chiefs and elders during the initial visits to Amoaful, Asakyire, and Asamang was overwhelmingly positive.

Poku-Adusei acknowledged the invaluable advice received from the revered leaders, which will guide his campaign endeavours.

The tour, spanning multiple traditional areas, continued with visits to Adankragya, Bekwai, Kokofu, and Essumeja on the second day. The Remaining traditional areas are slated for visits in the forthcoming weeks, as the team aims to engage with all stakeholders in the Bekwai constituency ahead of the elections.
