Mills Team Holds Crucial Meeting

The campaign team of President J.E. Atta Mills on Wednesday, held a crucial meeting to discuss reports submitted by representatives of the team from various regions of the country. According to the National Chairman of the Campaign Team, Mr. J.H. Owusu-Acheampong, members of the team discussed the areas so far covered, the remaining ones and their strongholds. In addition, Mr. Owusu-Acheampong said they also examined areas where the team faced challenges and mapped out strategies to consolidate work done in the constituency. He said the team decided to group themselves into two with one group covering the northern belt and the other covering the southern regions. Mr. Owusu-Acheampong, who is also a member of the Council of State, explained that members who covered the northern belt will swap places with their southern counterparts. During the next two and half weeks, I for one who hail from the Brong-Ahafo Region would be visiting some constituencies in the southern regions to interact with delegates, he said. Mr. Owusu-Acheampong explained that the team had decided to swap personalities to find out whether their findings will totally reflect the contents of the reports submitted for discussions. We have decided to adopt this strategy to ensure that all our efforts translate into massive votes on the congress day at Sunyani, he said. The Mills campaign team manager said if the reports discussed were anything to go by, then the team would have relaxed till the day for the conduct of the presidential primary. Nevertheless, the team is not allowing complacency to creep within our ranks; we will campaign and continue to stress the need for delegates to retain President Mills as the partys flag bearer in the 2012 polls, Mr. Owusu-Acheampong said.
