Ghanaian comedian, Funny Face has been granted bail after being remanded into police custody on Tuesday (26 March). He has been granted a GHC120,000 bail with two sureties by the Kasoa District Court on Tuesday (9 April).
On Sunday, 24 March 2024, the comedian knocked down three pedestrians crossing the Kasoa-Nyanyano Kakraba highway at the Kakraba Junction, causing severe injuries.
He subsequently crashed into two motorcycles, causing injuries to the riders as well.
Though the hearing was heard out of court, the popular comedian was refused bail and remanded for two weeks.
Presently, two of the victims are receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, while two others continue to be catered for at the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.
