Incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi is set to be re-elected unopposed on Friday for his second term as the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). The general congress of the GFA is expected to be approved the affable football administrator for a new four-year term in office in Prampram. The 43-year-old stands unopposed after aspirants Neil Armstrong Mortagbe and Sowah Vincent Odotei were disqualified for irregularities in their applications papers. The 123 delegates for the Extra-Ordinary Session of Congress deliberate on issues affecting the game before Nyantakyi is endorsed for his new term in office. Nyantakyi has been hugely successful in his first term in office, leading the country to its first two World Cups and Africa first U20 World Cup title. But this year has proven to be a very difficult year for him after the U17, U20, U23 and the women�s national teams failed to qualify for important international tournaments. Nyantakyi is expected to promise a major shake-up in the way the game in run in the country while seeking massive financial boost for the local league. The availability of foreign leagues on television has severely affected the patronage of the local league.The Ghana FA boss is a member of Caf�s executive committee.
