Ghana has benefitted immensely from Otumfuo’s wise counsel, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said.

He noted that the King had played a remarkable role in helping to shape democratic rule in the country, adding that his influential role in the sustenance of peace in Ghana, especially, under the Fourth Republic, would forever be remembered.

Dr Bawumia stated these at the launch of the Otumfuo commemorative gold coin at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on December 12, 2021.

“Otumfuo Osei Tutu is a pillar of peace, and an asset, not only to Asanteman, but the entire nation,” Vice President Bawumia asserted.
