Schalke Insist Anthony Annan Must Find A New Club

German side Schalke have reiterated their desire to offload Ghanas Anthony Annan depsite the midfielders desire of fighting for a place at the club. The Bundesliga side announced last week that they want to sell him after just six months at the Bundesliga side. The Ghanaian responded by saying he wants to stay to impress the coach to give him another chance. But Schalke have told Annan and his Chinese team-mate Hao Junmin that they are planning for the future without them. We told him (Junmin) that he is in a difficult situation with us and we suggested a change of club. The same goes for Tony Annan, Schalke sporting director Hosrt Heldt said on Thursday. Annan wont leave the club until Schalke get a suitable offer for him as he already has a contract with the club until 2013. They must find him a deal before he leaves. Schalke have already axed 11 players and they are keen on releasing three more with the Ghana international among those mentioned. Annan joined Schalke in the January transfer window from Norwegian side Rosenborg but has failed to impress since his move. Veteran Gerald Asamoah, Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan and ex-Lille centre-half Nicolas Plestan are all set to leave the club soon. Annan has also struggled recently in the Ghana national team as a toe injury has put Agyemang Badu ahead of him in the pecking order.
