Two armed robbers have succeeded in robbing the Ecobank branch at the Accra Mall located at the Tetteh Quarshie interchange in Accra and made away with an unspecified amount of money. A source at the bank told Citi News that one of the robbers entered the bank at about 9am Thursday morning, threatened the customers and workers of the bank with his gun, before taking the money away from the tellers. According to the source, the other robber was on a motor bike outside the bank premises and sped away with his colleague after the operation was done. The Police have been to the premises to investigate the robbery but it is still not clear how much the robbers made away with. According to the source, the Policeman and another security man who were supposed to be on duty were conspicuously missing during the time of the robbery.
