One person was killed and 15 others sustained injuries when the bus on when they were travelling was involved in an accident near Jachie in the Bosomtwe District.
The body of the deceased, identified as Emmanuel Kwaku Nyantakyi, 49, from Nyamiani, had been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary.
The injured are receiving treatment at the Saint Michael�s hospital at Pramso.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Edward Osei, the Kuntanase District Commander, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the accident occurred on the Jachie-Abidjan-Nkwanta stretch of the Kumasi-Kuntanase trunk road.
He said the driver lost control of the Mercedes Benz bus after a tyre burst, and in the process, the vehicle landed on its side in the middle of the road.
