MADCAP Mario Balotelli has been stitched up like a kipper by his Manchester City team mates. His weary millionaire pals are enjoying the sweet (and sour) taste of success after months of his high jinks at everyone else's expense.
The eccentric striker came back from the club's US tour last week and picked up a fishy whiff around his �150,000 white Maserati sports car. The Italian ace opened the passenger door and found a sportsbag behind the seat packed with kippers. It had been lurking there for more than TWO WEEKS.
Needless to say, the car could now be an insurance write-off because the upholstery reeks so badly of fish.
A source said: "Mario had his head in his hands when he realised he was on the receiving end of a training ground prank." "The smell nearly made him sick. It was revolting. "There were flies in the car and the leather seats in the back had rotting fish all over them.
"He has absolutely no idea who is responsible as he has wound up so many of his team mates over the past year."It won't put an end to the pranks, though. He's already formulating plans for revenge."
The big lump hasn't exactly looked after the motor during his time in the north west. The Sun revealed how he has rattled up �10,000 in parking fines and had his wheels impounded 27 TIMES.
