Veep Receives Leadership Award

Vice President John Dramani Mahama has been awarded for excellent leadership by the Graduate School of Governance and Leadership. The award, christened Chancellors Award on Excellent Leadership, was presented to the Vice President at the Castle, Osu by Reverend Gideon Titi-Ofei, the founding father of the school. According to Rev Titi-Ofei, they were minded to give Vice President Mahama the award because of his selfless leadership both as a private citizen and a public servant. Accompanying the award is a citation which recounted how Mr John Mahama had dedicated his work to bettering the lives of people right from his days as a worker of Plan International. The citation particularly mentioned how through his work as a parliamentarian he had fought to bridge the political divide. Vice President Mahama was the Guest of Honour at the first African Servant Leadership Award, which recognizes excellent leadership across the African continent. Mr John Mahama dedicated the award to President Mills and the people of Ghana and promised to �work to deserve� the award.
