Dominic Adiyiah Insists Karsiyaka Move Was Right Choice

Striker Dominic Adiyiah has defended his decision to join Turkish second division side, Karsiyaka. The 21-year-old has come under intense criticism with many believing the move is a draw-back to his career. However, the 2009 World Best Youth Player insists the decision to join the ambitious lower tier club from European giants, AC Milan, would serve his career best. It may not be the top division but it is just a step below, he told the Oti Adjei Report. People are asking why I would go to the Turkey second division but the truth is they were the only club that truly wanted me. People mentioned all sorts of clubs in Germany, in Spain, in France and wondered why I did not go but the point is as a player I cant force myself on a club. I cant go to a club and tell them I am Dominic Adiyiah, please sign me. The ex Heart of Lions player was strongly linked to a move to German club Hannover. However a confusion over who commands the right to sign the player reportedly emerged between the coach and sporting director of the Bundesliga outfit. Being very mindful of the fact the move could potentially have a negative effect on his future with the Black Stars, Adiyiah added: If I am playing well the coach will judge me on my football and not what division I play in.
