Ken Kuranchie: Yes, NPP Is Desperate To Wrestle Power From Incompetent NDC Criminals

The Editor of the Searchlight newspaper, Ken Kuranchie, has described the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration as a bunch of incompetent criminals at the helm of affairs and has served notice that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will do all it can to redeem Ghanaians by wrestling power from the NDC. Yes, we are desperate for power, yes ... when such incompetence is at play, should we leave the governance of this nation in the hands of these incompetent criminal bunch? the newspaper Editor, sounding like an NPP activist asked. To him, the NDC is a political party made up of a bunch of corrupt people and charged all who believe in the rule of law to stand up and help in policing the new form of voting (biometric system of voting) soon to be introduced in the country. One thing that makes my heart bleed is that we arent growing as a people, because we are all aware of the level of acrimony when it comes to electoral mattersAfari Djan has headed elections for long and people still call for IPAC meetings, he said. According to him, he is saddened that the E.C has turned deaf ears to repeated calls to organize a meeting of all political parties to brief them on the biometric system of voting, adding that at present, the cost and technology to be used in running the system, is still unknown to the NPP with a little over a year to go for the next general elections. Look, we are talking about computerized system of voting and the easiest way of stealing or cheating is the use of a computer. All that I am saying is we must ensure that the system is rigorously policed. Look at Cote Divoire, we are talking about the security and safety of this nation because we know what elections can do, he said. He repeated his stance that they were indeed desperate for power if the NDC would consider such concerns as desperation.
