Ghana vrs Brazil Is PayBack Time Samuel Osei Kuffour

Former Ghana Black Stars and Bayern Munich defender, Samuel Osei Kuffour has thrown his weight behind the Black Stars ahead of the much anticipated international friendly against Brazil. Ghana will face Brazil in an international friendly on September 5 at Fulham's Cravern Cottage in London. The friendly will be played three days after the Black Stars host Swaziland in Group I of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Accra. Osei Kuffouor who last played for the Stars at the 2006 World Cup in Germany expressed confidence that after the Black Stars had lost twice to the Brazilians, it was time for the team to claim its first victory over the Samba Boys. Brazil beat Ghana 3-0 at the countrys first ever appearance at the World Cup in Germany in 2006 and also lost one nil in an international friendly in Stockholm, Sweden in 2007. Making references to the two matches, the ex-defender assured in an interview with myjoyonline.com that We (Ghana) are going to shock them adding, It is going to be a shock for the Brazilians, we lost three nil, lost one nil, this is our time. Brazil has named an impressive 24-man team that includes Ronaldinho, Robinho, Alexandre Pato, Neymar, Lucio, David Luiz, Daniel Alves and goalkeeper, Julio Cesar to face the Stars. After the Stars successful campaign at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, many have tipped Ghana to be the first African country to ever lift the coveted World Cup. While Samuel Osei Kuffour admits that is possible, he advised the Stars against complacency, calling on them to go into the 2014 World Cup with the same mentality as theyve done to the others. For me, I think the possibility [of winning the World Cup] is there but we shouldnt be too swollen-headed that we did well in 2006, we did well in 2010. We should go in with our normal mentality that we are going into the tournament to go and play, he said. He added If God willing we win the cup, great achievement. We shouldnt be swollen-headed that so far as we did well [at the previous tournaments], it is going to be the same, we need to be focused.
