Rtu Owners Resist Purchase Of Wassaman

Owners of relegated Real Tamale United are threatening to take legal action against any moves to buy Premier League entrants Wassaman United. They are angry at the decision of some directors and management team of the club to find a business consortium to front for the widely reported acquisition. RTU were relegated for the first time in their 33-year history last season and many believe the Tamale stadium will be worthless and hence the move to buy Wassaman. But the owners have threatened to drag any individual or group of persons to court if the press their demand. Well not allow anyone to buy our any club and use rename it in our name. That talk is out of the question and the owners are serious about, Spokesperson for the founding fathers Alhaji Toufik Alolo said. Where were the directors and management of the club when we were struggling to avoid relegation? They didnt even meet to find an antidote to our poor run of form and now they think they can do business with our hard-won toil? It wont wash. He added: We will resist any attempt and sue anyone who does that. They can buy Wassaman but will never be allowed to rename it RTU. Well fight out of the relegation and qualify to the elite division next season. Owner of second-tier side Pure Joy Isaac Tetteh is reported to be weighing up an option to buy the club which is valued at US$ 130,000.
