Chief Dozes At Function

A TRADITIONAL LEADER in Kumasi became the subject of discussion when he infamously dozed at a public function. Togbui Rev. Fugah could not control himself as he slept at a function which was hugely patronised by people from all walks of life. Interestingly, the excessive noise at the function did not disturb nor stop the chief for the Ewe community in Kumasi from sleeping. The occasion was a press conference organized by the Association of Kotokolis across the country in Kumasi last Friday. Togbui Rev. Fugah slept as if he was lying in the comfort of his bed, as his head rolled from one direction to another. What surprised people at the event was the fact that Rev. Togbui Fugah attended the programme almost one hour late. The chief, who was splendidly dressed, on arrival, took his seat at the dais where other important dignitaries were already seated. But barely after the announcement of his arrival, Togbui Rev. Fugah started dozing like nobodys business. Most people at the function could not suppress or control their laughter as the chiefs head rolled from one direction to another. However, after enjoying his nap, Togbui Rev. Fugah managed to give a short speech later, during which he said Kotokolis were not foreigners in Ghana.
