Fred Agbenyor, an apologist of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scrapped all doubts about President Atta Mills� poor background by stating emphatically that the President had a very privileged background and hails from a rich home, contrary to the impression that President Atta Mills has created all along that he comes from a very poor background.
All along, Ghanaians have been made to understand that President, Professor John Evan Atta Mills was raised from a very poor home, therefore he is the best person to know and address the plight of the poor people of this country other than his major political opponent, Nana Addo who comes from a very rich home.
Indeed at one time, President Atta Mills told Ghanaians that he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, to show that he was born poor, unlike his principal political opponent.
Mr. Agbenyor referred to children who attend Achimota School as ones with privileged background making the longstanding perception of President Mills� poor background unfounded and worthless. He has however called on the President and his party members to render an unqualified apology to people of Ghana for deceiving us all these years.
