Gov't Lied About Our Ridge Residence - Konadu Rawlings

Former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has taken another swipe at the ruling government saying that they have lied to Ghanaians that their ravaged Ridge residence has been renovated. According to her not even one shovel of sand has been deposited at our Ridge residence which fire gutted some months ago: I would have been the first person to come round and inform you that government has renovated our Ridge residence: it is a lie. Nana Konadu said these and other incriminating things when she met with hundreds of NDC members loyal to she and her husband Jerry John Rawlings in Tamale. She was ushered into Tamale with five horse riders leading her convoy as motorcade. Before the former first lady, delivered her message, leading members of her loyalists group, FONKAR outdoored a new campaign slogan for the 2012 elections dubbed No Rawlingses: No vote. The slogan was outdoored at the Tamale GNAT Hall, to send a message to the government that if it chooses to neglect the Rawlings, it (government) would have itself to blame. Leading members of FONKAR in the Northern Region freely distributed a three page document purported to be the latest Wiki leaks expose by Trade and Industry Minister, Ms. Hannah Tetteh. On that Wiki leaks document, Ms. Hannah Tetteh was reported to have divulged information to the United States Ambassador Donald G. Teitelbaum in Ghana on how the Mills-Mahama led NDC government planned to reduce the NDC founder Jerry Rawlings to nothing and transform the NDC into CPP. As though Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings believed in the document, she told the enthusiastic crowd that the Atta Mills government had lost focus on delivering its Better Ghana agenda, except that a few Selfish and greedy individuals in power were enjoying the national cake. She added that the current NDC administration abandoned the partys core ideologies and principles of accountability, honesty, transparency, truth and probity which amounted to social justice for all in a united Ghana. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings debunked the widespread misconception that she was offered five Ministerial portfolios as soon the NDC assumed office in 2009. On the five million US Dollar package government announced was made available to revamp the Nsawam cannery, she said it was a total lie but was quick to disclose that plans have been far advanced to launch new district branches of the 31st December Womens movement nationwide. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings lambasted the Mills-Mahama led NDC government for deceiving Ghanaians to believe that their ravaged Ridge residence had been renovated. On his part, Deputy NDC General Secretary who doubles as Spokesperson to the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams urged party members to take keen interest in the upcoming voters registration exercise by ensuring that they have their names captured on it. Kofi Adams warned NDC members against electing Parliamentary candidates who abandon them after winning power but encouraged them to vote for people who will always stand for the truth and respond to their needs. The NDC Deputy General Secretary expressed his worry about the huge presence of Military personnel at the Sunyani congress who he alleged were there to intimidate FONKAR members and that he was not surprised about the outcome of the congress.
