Woman Stabs Friend �Over Missing Pant

A 25-year-old woman who stabbed her friend for stealing her pant, was on Thursday, remanded for two weeks by a Kumasi Circuit Court. The court heard that last Wednesday, Priscilla Aboagye in a rage took a taxi to the house of her friend, Adjoa Serwaa, 24, at Pankrono, near Tafo in Kumasi and on meeting her at the door, thrust a knife several times into her stomach. Serwaa, whose intestines gushed out is on admission at eh Intensive Care unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kwasi Oforis, Commander of the Tafo Pankrono District Police, complained of her missing pants on Wednesday and suspected her friend Priscilla who, the previous day, had visited her. Armed with a knife, he said Priscilla picked a car from Fumesua to Serwah�s house at Pankrono, knocked at her door and when she came out to see who it was, Priscilla stabbed her several times in the stomach and fled. Neighbours rushed Serwaa to the hospital. The police arrested Priscilla later and charged her with attempted murder. The court, presided over by Mr. Emmanuel Amo-Yartey, did not take her plea and she was remanded in custody until October 13.
