Allow Nursing Mothers To Work From Home Joyce Aryee

The outgoing chief executive of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Dr Joyce Aryee, is encouraging employers to give young female employees with children some leverage to sometimes work from home. Speaking on Citi Fms Breakfast Show on Monday, she said work places have to be family friendly to make it possible for mothers to marry their day to day activities at work with that of raising their children. We should begin to look at some creative ways for a woman with young children to work from home sometimes, come to the office sometimes and yet be extremely effective now that we are so advanced technologically, Dr Aryee suggested. Balancing raising small children and top corporate life is difficult, the founder of Salt and Light Ministry stated. The former information minister noted it has never been an easy journey all these years dividing her life into several things, but proper balancing has been her secret to success. We should learn to balance because you just cant stick your neck into one thing alone. Dr Aryee said three key elements have influenced her life up to now and encouraged young ones to make them their guard post. There are about three key influences; one is about humility. When you get a job is not because you were so better than other people and so you need to be humble. The second key point is that life is about people, so you have to be a good peoples person. "Everybody has something to offer and yours as a leader is to harness all the talent the third point is hard work. You cannot substitute hard work for anything, she added.
